SMC RESEARCH

How our News Room is built.

SMC Research publishes source-backed market reporting with visible sourcing, explicit uncertainty, and validation checks designed to keep unsupported claims out of the public News Room.

Source-first reporting

News Room articles are built from approved public sources. The article page links readers back to the underlying source material so facts can be checked in context.

AI-assisted drafting, not unsupervised fact creation

SMC may use AI to assist with drafting and organization. Published articles must pass source and content validation before publication. The public article includes an AI-assistance disclosure and identifies SMC Research as the publishing desk.

Numbers stay tied to the source

Automated validation checks numerical claims against the approved source material. If a draft introduces unsupported numbers, changes units, or otherwise fails validation, it is held for review instead of being published automatically.

Uncertainty stays visible

Where a source does not establish something conclusively, the article should say so. News pages include a dedicated uncertainty section rather than presenting assumptions as confirmed facts.

Corrections and questions

If you believe an SMC News Room article contains an error, contact the team with the article URL and the specific passage in question. We can review the underlying source and publication record.
